BACKGROUND

Mr. Kiernan joined Northland Capital Markets in 2015 and is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group focused on the healthcare sector. Before joining Northland, he was Head of Investment Banking at Summer Street Research Partners. Over the course of his 25-year investment banking career, Mr. Kiernan has completed over 200 financing and M&A transactions for life sciences companies. Prior to joining Summer Street, he was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking Groups at Stifel, Cowen and Company, and Leerink Swann. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kiernan headed the U.S. Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Citigroup and built the life sciences banking practice at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette.

EDUCATION

Mr. Kiernan received his B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College, and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Kiernan maintains FINRA SIE Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7 General Securities Representative, Series 24 General Securities Principal, and Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law registrations.
