BACKGROUND
Austin serves as Director of Public Finance where he specializes in helping local governments throughout Nebraska finance public infrastructure projects, including city utilities, airports, and school districts. His work focuses on bond underwriting, municipal advisory services, long range capital planning, cash flow modeling, and debt management.
Austin’s first experience in public service was his time on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents as the elected Student Regent. He also has prior experience traveling across the State in the risk management division for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and has previously served on the City of La Vista Planning Commission.
Austin, his wife, Taylor, and their daughter, Lyla, currently live in Aurora, Nebraska.
EDUCATION
Austin is a graduate from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance, and from Creighton University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSES
Austin holds and maintains the FINRA Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam, Series 52 Municipal Securities Representative Exam, Series 50 Municipal Advisor Representative Exam, and Series 63 Uniform Securities State Law Exam registrations.
