BACKGROUND

With over three decades of experience in Fixed Income & Capital Markets, Steve has been providing guidance and advice for his clientele of community banks, trust departments, insurance companies, and other Institutional investors since 1992.

His success of implementing strategy across multiple lines of fixed income products has allowed him to develop significant long-term relationships based on trust, integrity, and professionalism. He specializes in tax-free and taxable municipal bonds, agency, corporate, and MBS securities.

Steve was a previous shareholder and employee of Northland Securities since 2003 before the firm was acquired in 2023 by First National of Nebraska, Inc. (FNNI). FNNI is the parent company of Northland Capital Holdings, Inc., and First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO). He has continued his role as Managing Director - Institutional Sales and continues to coach, develop, and mentor his team of brokers.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and played Golden Gopher Hockey form 1983- 1988. Steve and his wife Stefanie have two sons and make their home in Eden Prairie where he is very active in the community. Some areas of service have included: Eden Prairie Youth Hockey Association Board of Directors, “M” Club Board of Directors for the University of Minnesota, and Pax Christi Catholic Church. He enjoys coaching, boating, fishing, running, and water sports at the cabin with his family.

EDUCATION

Steve received his B.I.S. Degree, with a major in Business, from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis, MN.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

Steve maintains the FINRA Series 7 General Securities Representative and Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent Exam (Minnesota) registrations.
